A UKAS ACCREDITED LABORATORY; YOU CAN BE CONFIDENT OF YOUR CMMs PERFORMANCE

With the ever growing demand, for conformance to standards and the need to maintain traceability records, it is no longer viable or in your interest just to have a certificate which states: "The accuracy achieved by simple laser interferometer or artefact checks," without indicating the standard to which the check conforms.

IMS are a UKAS Accredited Laboratory (LAB No 0827) to the internationally recognised Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 providing performance verifications to Acceptance and re-verification tests for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) - ISO10360-2. If you wish to continue performance verification to you CMMs original specification then IMS can provide performance verifications/calibrations in accordance with the following standards B89, VDI/VDE or CMMA.

A telephone call is immediate. At IMS, customer's uptime is priority, with problem solving ‘over the telephone'. Does this apply to independent service organisations? Their organisations are probably based on service revenues with little motivation for a ‘No Visit' service solution.

IMS has a team of qualified service technicians strategically located throughout the UK briefed to get customers up and running fast and, most important – keep them running. IMS has machines over 25 years old still performing at their original specifications - or better - due to regular and proper attention from qualified engineers.

RETROFITTING

BACK TO THE FUTURE

CMMs supplied by other vendors over the past decades still have the potential to work reliably and effectively and will probably do so, well into the future.

However, the driving technology is probably behind the times and unable to capitalise on latest controller, software and probing system enhancements. Providing the existing mechanical structure is sound, IMS can update almost any make, model and size of your existing CMM to the highest industry standards. In fact with IMS' unique error-correction system, accuracy may be improved to a better than original specification. Our latest OnMotion control system and Virtual DMIS software options will expand both the functionality and capability of an existing CMM with the advantage of full, ongoing assistance and support from IMS and its regional based engineers.
